hook
- hook - roughly analogous to the "boon" of old. serves to draw the carp in decisively, leaving a lasting mark, without which the line and sinker can not exist.
- line - a perversion of the "wake" of old. Generally longer than the hook (line::thread) but not necessarily (or necessary)
- sinker - the conclusion of a line
